About the Role:
Lost & Found Restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Dining Room Assistant/Food Runner to join our team. You will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by keeping the dining room running smoothly and efficiently. This role is an entry level position for dining room roles in the restaurant. You should expect to learn about our style of service, food descriptions, and basic physical aspects of service in a fine-dining environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the correct tables accurately and promptly
- Assist servers by maintaining table cleanliness, including clearing plates, glasses, and silverware
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Restock and maintain dining room supplies such as napkins, condiments, and place settings
- Greet and assist guests as needed, ensuring a positive and welcoming dining experience
- Monitor table readiness and assist with resetting tables between seatings
- Support the team during high-volume service periods to maintain quality and speed of service
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality setting is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods of time
- Positive, guest-focused attitude with a strong work ethic
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be punctual, reliable, and a dependable team player
